You may want to repost this to one or more of the alt.* Windows groups. They have a much larger audience than this group, including several people using VMs. You don't mention which version of Windows, so I give some possible candiates: alt.comp.os.windows-11 alt.comp.os.windows-10 alt.comp.os.windows-8 alt.windows7.general
