See if you can get any flavour of Windows to do that! Holding in the power button takes at least 5 seconds! Well I don't know what a 'Gortard' is but from your tone I guess I wouldn't want to be one. As far as Mint is concerned - just stating fact. I am an above average Windows user but not a guru by any means. On the other hand I know nearly nothing about Linux and freely admit it. But when something works outstandingly well for me (Mint) I admit that as well. John
