As I said earlier ... some of the developer groups have UNSAFE-seeming ways of contributing. It's essentially a random web page that wants your CC number. Can't tell if it's real, can't tell if they, or monitoring Russians, won't rip you off. The fix is a PHYSICAL ADDRESS that you can send something like a money order to. A MO doesn't have any of your bank routing numbers or anything on it - so at most you'd lose just THAT amount of money and no more. Pass it along.
