I've used it as it rolled out and it sucked. It is broken by design. Not just systemd, but the whole ecosystem around it. It was drummed up and created by a Eastern European nut case with Microsoft envey. Fortunately, even within the Linux space there are alternatives and that reliable, predicable, secure and work quite well. See Artix Linux Nobody should have to used systemd. It is just crap and it is designed like crap. You don't have to study it or read it or give it much though.
