Just buy the book "Advanced UNIX programming" and you'll find that BSD, Solaris and macOS are considered UNIX as well as Linux. There are differences as always, but then you'd have to look at the actual document that sets the UNIX standard... which is rather loose. So it all boils down to which one you like and most likely the easiest to get things done.
