I had a '60 Plymouth with the 225 slant-6 engine and a Torqueflite that I eventually replaced with a manual. Most manual transmission were three on the tree, with the sportier offerings 4 speed floor shift. My Plymouth had a floor shift since adapting the Torqueflite push button cable wasn't in the cards. Floor shift kits were cheap.
