Stick to units the average > person understands. After Canada went metric I gave up trying to figure out what I was paying at the gas pump compared to the US between liters and the exchange rate. kph to mph was a lot easier. When driving a truck I figured I was good to go if an underpass was marked for 4 meters. I think most speedometers are now marked in both units in North America. I would assume in Canada the kph markings would be the more prominent.
