The Brits perfected it. Thomas Cromwell and Henry VIII did very well for themselves with the Dissolution of the Monasteries. Those were the good old days and when Cromwell failed as a matchmaker it was 'off with 'is 'ead!' That seems to be a family tradition with Cromwells.
