It's one the Linux Mint machine I installed recently and the Ubuntu box. The Fedora and Arch boxes also have gcc and I don't remember explicitly installing it. I do remember being disappointed by earlier distros 'Oh, you wanted to build something? You need to install...' clang needs to be installed.
