I really dislike silicon bands in general and the ones where the end tucks under the band in particular. I have a hide like a rhinoceros but they irritate my skin. I bought aftermarket bands from Amazon, most of which came in 3-packs. Out of that 1 would work well, 1 would unlatch too easily to be trustworthy, and 1 would fail to latch at all. However the 3-packs were much cheaper than a genuine Fitbit band so I came out ahead with a wider selection. I liked the Charge 6 except the built in GPS sucks and I would set it to use the phone's. The real annoyance was when they introduced 'cardio load' into the app and the messages telling me, alternately, that I was training too hard or I was a lazy, shiftless bum. Amazfit has a similar computed metric but they present it without commentary. The Active 2 has a barometer and records altitude gain which I like since many of my walks involve 1000' or more altitude gain.
