There are mixed feelings if they eat a llama. I once did a backcountry campsite inspection tour with a couple that had two llamas. The wolves are welcome to them. A stout llama can't pack much more than 75 pounds, a lot of which is their own food. They don't like brush dragging on their packs, running water, mules, horses, or most wildlife. When they feel they've went far enough they lay down and refuse to move. I went on ahead and let the couple deal with them before I put the llamas out of their misery.
