Nimrods from NYC were notorious. People were known to paint 'horse' or 'cow' on their livestock to aid in species identification. The best solution was for the mighty hunter to stay in a nice warm ginmill while a local filled his tag and strapped the field dressed deer on the fender of the hunter's Cadillac for the triumphal journey beck to civilization. It was a win-win.
