Some areas in the city have bear-proof trash containers and advise people 
to avoid leaving pet food out and to get the fruit off the trees. The 
bears have figured out life is easier when humans are around.

When we went through Yellowstone in '52 part of the attraction was the 
bears lining up along the road to cadge handouts. Returning to the cabin 
after a fireside ranger talk we saw a bear sorting through the dumpster. 

I didn't see any bears the last time I passed though, 2019?. There still 
are campsites where you need a hard shell camper and not a tent though.
