The problem would be collecting labeled images of raccoons. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=54765 Separating cats from dogs is sort of a 'hello world' for image recognition and the dataset is available. Raccoons not so much. That's a real problem for supervised learning. Not only do you need a lot of raw data but it has to be labeled, which at this point means a human is deciding what is a dog or cat. https://www.raspberrypi.com/products/ai-kit/ There has been a lot of bitching since Qualcomm bought Arduino but it's led to at least one new product. https://store-usa.arduino.cc/products/uno-q It's the equivalent of a RPi 5 with a Pico 2 hung off it. There is a model with 4 GB of RAM in the pipeline which is still lighter than the Pi5. > Hey, I still sport something near the legacy 70s look ... Raccoons never forget. I probably will shut down the feeder for the winter. A couple of the cats are getting chubby and we can't have that in MAHA.
