One of the criticisms of our style which limits the linux-user population, was eg. `man date` is 196 lines; whereas DOS is: `date` [case insensitive IIRC] and it shows you what its current value is, AND gives you the syntax just to fill in. You can't beat that for HCI. So if/when some magic new hardware arrives, like USB [USB is very complex], and the hardware monopolists decide not to release *nix drivers, because of the small user population [who are very sensitive about any criticism]; can we "ride-on" Mac & Android, who don't have the problem of tribal warfare, restricting their population?
