Both the Command Module and the LM used the same computer, but differnt programs. The Saturn 5 stages,IUI, used a state machine instead of programmable processors, mainly housed in the interstage. _Sunburst and Luminary_ by Don Eyles is a memoir of the LM programming (and the Sixties it happened in).
