Sometimes. I'm having a senior moment for the title but it was a cop show. 
The season 1 finale was a cliffhanger where the bad guy tells the female 
detective to run, as he sights in on her back and gets ready to pull the 
trigger. He may or may not have shot his wife's dog the same way in an 
earlier episode.

Canceled. Either the showrunner didn't see it coming or he decided fuck 
them and not do a graceful ending.
