After doing research I decided the raw Arch install might be a learning experience for some but for me it would be a walk down memory lane of the hoops you had to jump through decades ago. I know how to partition a disk, format it, set up fstab, create a user, and so forth. The difference is Endeavour includes yay and a couple of other tools rather than having to go get them and build them yourself. Once again I've been down the tarball configure and build route more than once.
