I'll stick with balls. As I often told my boss Lockheed Martin can survive lawsuits over failure to complete; we can't. I can't find the link since Lockheed gets sued so often but it was either them or Northrup Grumman that won the bid to upgrade the City of London's emergency management system. Not exactly their wheelhouse but what the hell. After failing London sued them and went out for another bid. Boeing does the same like their bid on SBInet. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SBInet They bid contracts outside of their areas of expertise. When they win the contract as prime they scramble around looking for subcontractors that might know what they're doing. When they ultimately fail they're either sued for breach or like SBInet the project is quietly shut down after pissing away billions. They know they are 'too big to fail' It's discouraging seeing the same huge companies fucking up over and over and surviving.
