A lot of that in Spain. Some US politicians have come under fire recently for having several residences, all of which they declared to be their primary residence for tax or mortgage purposes. There are cases where their primary residence isn't in the jurisdiction where they hold office. Then there are the carpetbaggers like Hillary Clinton. She had no ties to New York State but established a residence there since it almost guaranteed her a Senate seat.
