It was an article about the proposed restrictions on advertising. It said the bulk of the advertising dollars are spent promoting new drugs that may or may not be effective. Makes sense. You need new stuff so you can patent it, then you have to promote it, who cares if it works. You left out the vast sums spent to capture politicians and regulatory agencies.
