Years ago when I first used Ubuntu I wasn't impressed by GNOME and installed KDE. It worked, sort of, but there was a bit of fragility. Since then I've stuck with the distro with the DE I wanted, Fedora KDE, Lubuntu, etc. > > Or has this changed? I think it's gotten smoother if you want multiple DEs. There was one distro that came with just about every DE just in case you want a different one every day.
