I haven't set it up but it does have a USB connection for monitoring. Their PowerChute software specifies RHEL or SUSE now instead of only Windows but I assume there is a general Linux solution. One thing we found at work where the larger sample size meant more instances of bad batteries is a box plugged into the wall will survive a brief flicker; one plugged into a UPS with a bad battery goes down hard.
