In sorting out some old book yesterday I started reading 'Buddhism: The 
Religion of analysis'. Written in 1966 the author talks about the 
difficulty of dealing with the cultural differences of the consumer driven 
West chasing after 'success' and the more laid back East. I'm not sure 
that is the case 60 years later.
