They come with crampons built in When I was a kid there was a squirrel that came around at breakfast time looking for a handout. He would hang on the kitchen window screen and look in until he got his treat. It wasn't really animal abuse but I would give him bread with peanut butter. He enjoyed the peanut butter but it was amusing watching him trying to get it off the roof of his mouth.
