iirc when the US stuck its nose into Iraq and Afghanistan goat herders 
with elderly Mosin-Nagants led the US to re-evaluate it's love for the 
relatively short range M-14 derivatives. Allah must have been smiling on 
them.

You may be confusing them with US blacks armed with Glocks.
