Check the CPU voltage ! If you can reduce it slightly it will help.
As little as a tenth of a volt can drop the working temperature 3 to 5
degrees F.
As an aside, I have noticed that over time the CPU voltage can creep up.
Failing capacitors can cause this as can other components who's value
can change over time.
