I think more people who are employed, should think of themselves as one man entrepreurs, as you say, you are the one with value, and shop around as you would if you ran your own business. As for having my own business, yes, the accounting is tedious, but I pay about 400 EUR per month to get that done for me. This is also something I tell everyone who wants to start their own business. For the love of god, outsource all accounting as quickly as possible.
