I did it from a flash/thumb drive. Never tried to do full install. Doesn't your model eee have flash HDD? Mine has a regular disc HDD. You'll get no argument from me on that one. I'm no ubuntu fan. In fact I really dislike it and would never use it full time. I have it on my eee cuz, like I said, in this one particular case/application, it worked. Never on any other machine. nb
