Sure. I can play hundreds of videos in VLC without problem. But there are some videos, recorded in high resolution (like 3840 * 1604 and 10 bit) that do not play in the old laptop that I connect in the sitting room to the bigger display via HDMI. Even when converted down to a smaller resolution they give trouble. In this case I managed the video, but the sound is still trouble. Huh, I forgot to hit "send" on this post.
