I guess HE > knew how to put it all together, but ....... Yeah, not being an EE that's where my understanding starts to break down. I know how flip-flops and latches work on a logic level, and I have a rough knowledge of how transistors work, but the exact nitty- gritty of digital circuity sits right at the intersection of the two domains and is all tied up in both. Bit like hearing my medically- inclined family members talk about biochemistry... Oneathesedays I'll sit down and study it properly, but I'm still getting my head around *analog* circuits o_O > And NOBODY has a plan for all the obsolete people pushed out by AI > solutions. "Has no plan" *is* the plan. The whole enterprise is transparently about the C-suite getting to obsolete knowledge workers the way they decimated skilled labor via industrial automation - but the C-suite guys are too dumb and too high on their own supply to realize that they fell for a con. What's being sold as "AI" will *never* do half of what they've been claiming it will Real Soon Now, and the money men are just about out of patience waiting for their promised payoff. It *is* gonna be ugly - hell, it already is, since Management has been jumping the gun from the get-go, using "AI" to justify mass layoffs no matter how patently unsuitable chatbots are as a replacement for the workers - but in the long term...it's not gonna work. (It's not impossible, of course, that someone will eventually crack *true* artificial intelligence - but if and when that happens, it's not gonna come from *these* clowns. Glorified Markov chains are the deadest of ends.) They're already running outta money and scrambling to disguise it, and when the LLM industry and their services are gone companies are still gonna need stuff *done.* This'll all have ultimately been for nothing - just a massive, stupid waste inflicted by the tech industry upon itself for the sake of spiting the people who make it function :/
