My intent here isn't to say "here's this better thing that everyone should be using instead," it's to point and laugh at the developers who spent years blustering about how people who wanted their proposed X11 replacement to actually offer feature parity with X11 were Wrong, Actually right up 'til the point where they'd cheesed off enough people that they had to seriously worry about losing their bid for acceptance - at which point they backed down sputtering and stammering like morons, having given the lie to all their excuses about "security" in so doing.
