As for Windows memory compression, while it may indeed reduce swapping compared to the same system with memory compression disabled, it definitely doesn't *eliminate* it - you can tell that easy enough by watching disk activity in Resource Monitor while memory-intensive applications are running. And it exacts a price in CPU load, too, which is another area where these systems are under-specced.
