      directories containing scripts.

We got away from full-on scripts when systemd introduced a simple
declarative format for its service definitions. Here somebody is
trying to go full circle.

    - Can be run on FreeBSD from /etc/ttys ...

Some in the BSD world are already working on their own
systemd-workalike. It’s called “InitWare”.
