Good thing 100 megs is not several multiples of available RAM,
or that might have been relevant.

A little slow to open, being 277 megs of ascii, but I couldn't
help but notice how it pwns Excel 2003 on range.

LOL!  Try doing it with a 103.4GB file with 32GB RAM.  See how that goes.

You can see that it's burned through most of my 32GB of RAM and taking
128GB of swap.  Since Excel fakes it for empty cells, this gives you an
indication of what Excel would do with cells filled with data, so your
isolated text entry in one cell doesn't mean anything.
