Honestly, I'm happy to see that Tuxedo, which has always produced 
Linux-only machines, is competing so well with Macs. Even if you don't 
intend to use Linux, the fact that they likely come with an open 
firmware and are repairable should be reason enough to consider them.

Nevertheless, let's be honest: battery life will not be comparable and 
neither will the acoustics. If two people are working side by side in a 
quiet room and there is sudden noise, everyone will know that it won't 
be the Mac producing it.
