ICSE -- the premier conference in software engineering sponsored by ACM and IEEE CS -- is coming to Austin for a second time in May 14 - 22, 2016. There, the top minds in software engineering research and practice will convene for a week of inspirational talks, demos and conversation. A quarter-century after the Texas state capital first hosted ICSE, Austin has become a hub for technology, entrepreneurship, music, outdoor recreation and nightlife. ICSE 2016 will be located in the lovely Austin Arboretum Area -- known as "new Austin" -- at the start of the Texas hill country and at the peak of the Texas wildflower season. What better setting could there be for flourishing ideas? Please mark your calendars and join us in Austin to make the 28th ICSE one for the record books As the saying goes, "Everything is bigger in Texas!"

Funding

In addition to the SIGSOFT CAPS program, ICSE 2016 also offers the National Science Foundation (NSF) Travel Program. The NSF has generously provided close to $40K of support for student and early-career faculty participation in ICSE 2016. Applications for travel support will be evaluated based on merit, potential to contribute to research in software engineering in the U.S., and potential to increase the diversity of the pool of software engineering researchers in the U.S. Students not chosen for the NSF Travel Award will be automatically entered for consideration for the SIGSOFT CAPS awards. Visa Information

ACM is able to provide visa support letters to attendees as well as authors with accepted papers, posters, or members of the conference committee. For visa support letters, refer all requests to supportletters@acm.org. Those requesting a letter should allow up to one week to receive it. All requests are handled in the order they are received. The information below should be included with the request: 
- Name (as it appears on attendee's passport) and mailing address
- The name of the conference attendees is registering for
- Attendee's registration confirmation number
- Authors may indicate their paper title. Speakers can provide the title of their talk.
- Include a fax number or email address of where letter can be sent.
