I fully agree that each Android version makes it worse, and, Samsung makes
it the worst of all, so I feel for you as I'm happily stuck on Android 13.

A few days ago I wrote this up on XDA Developers to help solve some of the
aggressive Samsung cleanup policies which made APK archival a numbers game.
