  Thanks for that. It would be interesting to know what the user has to
do before giving the phone to a non-thief. Do a factory reset and then
do what?

  But that's Android 16. My current phone is stuck on 13 (after 10, 11
and 12), so I'll see when (if?) I ever get there.
