Maybe "need" is a bit strong. I wanted to see if it would or could run there.

Looks like there's not a build pattern for it to follow (looking in
cf/ostype/). Maybe one of the BSDs would be closest. I know there's a
site.config.m4 and others to edit but that didn't produce a build.

6-12 months back I spent some time on changing files and got further,
but I didn't keep my changes and gave up on it. I'm not sure how much
interest there is in Sendmail on Minix3.

If someone wants to try it, here's the qemu line for it (adjust network
for your site):
qemu-system-i386 -boot order=cd,menu=on -rtc base=utc -device pci-serial-4x -device intel-hda -device hda-output,audiodev=snd0 -device ES1370,audiodev=snd0 -audiodev pa,id=snd0 -vga vmware -device e1000,netdev=net0,mac=52:54:00:12:34:61 -netdev tap,ifname=tap7,id=net0,script=no,downscript=no  -hda minix_sf.img  -cdrom minix_R3.4.0rc6-d5e4fc0.iso -serial pty -daemonize

Note to use the 3.4.0rc6 image as that's the last that I know of.
