	As I recall the hearsay, a lot of expensive cars in the late 80s tended
to need expensive replacement parts... As they hit some point in a mountain
pass in California they'd come into the beam of a military radar unit --
and the ignition control computer would "fry".

(Actually, back then, lots of amateur radio ops had to worry too, as their
50-100W mobile transmitters would interfere with the unshielded computers;
as a precaution I bought the remote mount kit to put a dual-band
transceiver into the far rear corner of my car)
