There seems to be a "Project Phoenix" (found it at the other end of a Google search) with that goal. I've no idea what its status is, but you could help that project along by expressing interest and maybe helping with their bug tracker, or hosting a buildbot (they seem to use the same buildbot software that Python uses), or something like that. If you're really serious about wanting Python 3 support, go the whole way and actually help to port it! ChrisA
