Right now I'm using it to creating an environment for our upcoming debian upgrade to squeeze. I'm doing some tests in our current distrib (python 2.5). I have come to realize that a lot of packages in the version I'm interested in are not available anymore on pypi. The pip installer fails a lot. Squeeze features python 2.7 so I'm pretty sure that everything will work fine. I've actually tested it. The question is, how do I protect myself from future package removal ? Do I absolutely need to run a local pypi server (I've seen some python package doing this), and mirror all the packages I'm interested in ? cheers, JM --001a11c248f8ad313304f29a08e9 Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
