The solution is to upgrade to Python 3.3+ and the superb PEP 393 FSR which is faster and uses less memory. Or is it simply that people are so used to doing things sloppily with Python 2 that they don't like being forced into doing things correctly with Python 3? -- My fellow Pythonistas, ask not what our language can do for you, ask what you can do for our language.
