If someone has any > directions or guidelines I will appreciate. Is boto3 installed and imported as 'boto' or 'boto3'? If the former, just install boto3 (into site-packages/boto) and 'import boto' in smart_open will just work. This would be the same in installing pillow as a drop in replacement for PIL, since pillow is installed in a directory named 'PIL'. If the latter, change the import statement. Any other changes would depend on boto3 having a different api from boto. -- Terry Jan Reedy
