This problem (0x80070570) has been reported a few times: https://mail.python.org/pipermail/python-list/2015-September/697447.html https://mail.python.org/pipermail/python-list/2016-January/702590.html https://mail.python.org/pipermail/python-list/2015-December/700998.html However I haven't seen a fix for it. It is apparently due to problems with corrupted files or with broken hard disks or something. I don't remember hearing of this problem before Python 3.5 and AFAIK it only occurs with 3.5. Could you try installing 3.4 and let us know if that works? If so it may be a bug (I don't see any tracker issues for it yet). -- Oscar
