Although there are still a number of users of recent incarnations of OS/2 (Arca Noae, eCS), there seems to be little usage of PL/I. Accordingly, version 1.4.0 will be the last regularly distributed OS/2 version. The current plan is to retain this version indefinitely, but there will be no regular updates. Due to the amount of commonality between the Linux and OS/2 versions, with only a few run-time procedures differing, it might be possible to provide updates on request. I'm sad to make this decision, because it was IBM's dropping of support for its OS/2 PL/I compiler that motivated me to develop Iron Spring PL/I, but it's past time to move on, since I now use OS/2 only for building new OS/2 compiler releases.
