The dual convection fans and dedicated heating elements in the SMD2499FS provide turntable-free baking, roasting, grilling, and air frying. Bring a meal to the table even faster with three Speed Cook modes that mix convection and microwave heating for delicious results in less time. The included dishwasher safe, porcelain cooking dish, upper, and lower racks can be used in all modes and combined for single or multi-level cooking or warming for up-to two 9"x13" baking dishes.

I bought a Singer SMW25GCQ6 model microwave oven. It has convection and grill features. For baking cakes and for grilling we don't use the glass turntable plate since we thought it could cause the cakes to brown unevenly.

As I described in this similar question, "regular" soda-lime glass is not heat safe. Given that the glass was obviously designed for a microwave, it is probably tempered glass, so it can withstand some amount of heat. Therefore, I would treat it like a Pyrex baking dish and not heat it to over 500F. Your microwave's convection mode likely does not get that hot, so you are probably fine with that, but no guarantees. I would not use the tray in grill mode because even Pyrex is not broiler-safe.

The microwave's turntable glass plate can be used in all the modes, convection, grill, microwave... as well as in all combination modes.
It won't get damaged.
Be sure you clean it every time after use.

The grill and convection oven in this Sharp combi microwave impressed us, producing great results in almost all of our performance tests. Jacket potatoes came out fluffy with crispy skins, minced meat defrosted fully, golden cupcakes rose beautifully and ready meals (both chilled and frozen) emerged evenly browned and cooked through.

This Panasonic is a powerful combination microwave and convection oven; it can grill, bake and function as a regular microwave. There are plenty of auto-cook programs, including for fresh vegetables, jacket potatoes, and roast lamb and beef. The grill gave our sausages crispy skins and moist centres, while the microwave and grill combi function quickly cooked a ready-made macaroni cheese.

This Panasonic combi is a versatile machine with effective grill, convection oven and combination functions. There are plenty of auto-cook programs, including roast settings for beef, lamb and chicken, plus those for fish and chips and frozen pizza. The grill browns evenly without the need for preheating and we made a perfect batch of fairy cakes using the convection oven.

This Panasonic combi can be used as a regular microwave, grill or convection oven, either separately or in combination. On test, it cooked jacket potatoes, heated soup and thoroughly cooked frozen ready meals evenly. The defrost function defrosted minced beef properly, without any cooked bits. Our macaroni cheese ready meal emerged with a crisp topping after cooking in combi mode and our eight fairy cakes rose well and turned golden. Our grilled sausages browned patchily but were cooked through.

The grill is fast and even, and the panacrunch tray is designed to crisp up foods when baking and roasting. The convection oven cooked satisfactory fairy cakes but the bases were quite dark and crunchy, probably a casualty of the effective panacrunch tray. It has a drop-down door and there's no glass turntable like you're used to seeing in microwaves.
