With the (lack of) information and links to descriptive pages on its 
download page I'm unable to decide if it has a point.

If its download page described what it does, e.g. Javadocs for the 
packages/classes it supplies and what problems they are meant to solve, 
that would be a lot more helpful than simply stating that its 'for 
Docker'.

This OpenJDK build probably solve the same problems as other
OpenJDK builds.

It is available in many forms including Docker, but also
MSI, ZIP, DMG, DEB and TAR.GZ.

Yet another company doing a JDK build and selling support for it.

If they can get customers then it is good for them.

I think it is good for Java as sucj that you can get OpenJDK builds
from so many sources.
