I need to capture a movie frame by frame. JMF seems to have been phased out and I did search and search, but I could not find any basic code outline. Based on user;s comments books about JMF are not meeting expectations. Heck, I could not even find any workable code/explanations on mindprod! ~ Any ideas/tips you could share? ~ lbrtchx comp.lang.java.programmer: java api for forward frame-stepping ...

Not yet. Wait for the next feature upgrade. See the bug list. Try Xuggler. <http://www.xuggle.com/xuggler/>
